Aloha!

My name is Ashley Kaase, I'm a watercolor artist with a private studio in Frederick, Maryland. I'm a Mother of two amazing kids, a military daughter and wife, as well as a dedicated coffee drinker. I like to spend my days painting colorful works that are teeming with lush botanicals! A self-taught artist, I have been passionate about art from the start. My work is largely plant based and highly inspired by warm places and beautiful landscapes, like the ones I left behind in Hawaii. With a deep fascination of nature, microbiology, and anatomy, my work often incorporates these themes. I love visiting botanical gardens and nurseries in my spare time and dream of the day I'll have a greenhouse of my own to fill with plants and artwork I’ve collected.
